Community working together - artistically
Ellesmere Arts Festival brought to you by Ellesmere Town Council connects the town’s rich artistic heritage with dynamic cultural events. From vibrant displays to live music and workshops, each event celebrates our diverse community spirit.


The Market Hall
At the heart of town - the Market Hall will be open 10am - 3pm over the 4 days of the festival. It will be home to the ART EXHIBITION Along with the traders there will be additional activities and workshops over the course of the whole weekend.

St Mary's Church
As an Ellesmere landmark historic building it is transformed into the heart of the Festival. Also open throughout the weekend with events starting from Saturday 10am - 5pm it will transform into a family friendly concert hall with an art display from the local primary school, activities (including a set of very special church mice) and a stunning celebration of flowers.

The Mere
Once again our natural and stunning landscape plays a starring role in the Festival, our astonishing arts group Fizzgigs transforming the space into a living breathing 'flock' and not to be missed. Join the workshops at the town hall to create your own to add to the displays.

The Wharf Head
This fabulous historical part of town will transform into an artisan market on Saturday and Sunday 11am - 4pm with food and drink to keep you sustained. We are lucky too have some amazing floating artistic boaters joining us for the whole weekend to.

The Black Lion
You will find many of the events taking place in the 'Lion's Den' at the back of the bar in this central spot .. check the programme for full details

Find Your Own Talent
Alongside showcasing talent - we'd like to help you find yours ! There are a number of workshops taking place across the weekend, mostly you will find them in the Market Hall - Some require booking and have a fee to take care of the equipment and materials but certainly not all of them.
